Today, I CHOPPED all of my hair off, and I loved it. I have been contemplating cutting my hair since November 2011. I finally got the nerve to go through with it.

I decided that if I was going to cut my hair, I would do it with purpose.

Growing up, my mother always “made” me have long hair. She told me the Bible says “it is my crown and glory”. Now I do agree with that, however I believe that it is the hairs conditions that would bring Glory to my Lord  not the length.

Every day I would wake up and put my hair in one of those “messy buns”. Now how could that bring Glory to my Lord? It didn’t.

So today I went to Bangz Salon in Gastonia, NC. This place was beautiful and very friendly. I absolutely loved my shoulder massage after my hair color and before my cut. The aroma therapy was nice as well.

The staff was more than happy to help me fulfill my desire to donate my hair to Locks of Love. This made me a happy camper. I have never done this before but will do it again. I had such a sense of satisfaction in helping others.

Well here’s the final product, I am thrilled with my hair. My family is having to get use to it , but they are behind me all the way, since it was for such a good cause.

  1. Christine your ‘new look’ is fabulous – you look so lovely! It’s great to know your hair is going to such a good cause – now that is honouring to the Lord. I’m loving your blog – it’s fascinating to have an insight into the life of a family member so far away. God bless, Harry.

    • Harry, you have no idea how happy that makes me, that you enjoy my blog. It has been a new interest. I am working hard to keep it up and share my heart. I want to help other family members who have a “special needs” member in their family. I also want to share the fun part of life and the Joy of the Lord with others. 😉
